Momentum Always Wins

Got an insight for you that will be really helpful for any business. Seems paradoxical but trust me it’s really not.
I enjoy boxing as a hobby. Train 4x times a week with my trainers and spare once a week with multiple people.
I box best whenever I move forward. And I realized that I get hit multiple times whenever I aggressively move forward.
Downside of this is that’s also the time when I get hit the most. So I take a couple shots just to deliver a couple of shots back.
But whenever I’m on the back foot, getting pushed back, and trying to hold my ground. I get annihilated. My sparring partners just fire at will.
Moving forward always SEEMS like it would be much more labor intensive. Much more taxing on the body than taking a breather, moving on the back foot or even just trying to hold your ground.
But the truth is…
It's really not.
Momentum kills. Pressure kills. If you’re moving forward all the time most of your worries just fade away. Problems seem to solve themselves. You’re too focused on coming forward and don’t have time to be worried about small stuff.
My most annoying business problems always came when I was standing still and moving backwards. As soon as momentum turns against you things just get much worse.
This is why you need to keep moving forward. Test new things out. Test out different ads, new methods, new media, new sales ideas, new content ideas, new marketing, just new everything.
Doesn’t matter.
Don’t. Move. Backwards.
Always move forwards.
Take care,
Jose
