How this started
I run JM Marketing Services here in Columbus.
Every week, local business owners ask me the same thing: “Can you actually get me in the top 3?”
Instead of just saying yes, I decided to prove it in public. I picked a phrase, built one page for it, and set out to rank it.
If you’re reading this from a Google search, it worked. I used the same process I use to get local businesses found by the people searching for them.
What it takes to rank for anything
Ranking for a goofy phrase works the same way as ranking a roofer in Hilliard or a dentist in German Village. The rules don’t change:
-
Pick the exact phrase people search.
-
Build one page that answers it better than anyone else.
-
Make sure Google can find and understand that page.
-
Earn a few quality links pointing to it.
-
Track the results, fix what’s weak, and repeat.
There’s no secret trick or magic software involved.
The only difference is competition. Nobody else is fighting for “hardest working SEO expert in Columbus, Ohio.” But “HVAC Columbus” has dozens of companies fighting for the top 3 spots. The rules are the same, but it takes a lot more work.
That’s where the “hardest working” part comes in.
Why “hardest working”
I work a full-time job on Fridays and Saturdays, 6am to 6pm. The rest of the week, I’m building campaigns, fixing websites, and cold-calling business owners across Columbus. I’m not doing this halfway.
Either way, I’d rather do the work than send you a monthly report full of jargon. I keep at it until your business shows up when customers search.
A top-3 spot on Google means more calls, more website visits, and more trust, every day, without paying for each click.
Do the work. Show the results. Repeat.
So, is it true?
You searched a phrase, and this page came up first.
You can decide for yourself.
Now picture the same thing happening for the phrase your customers search when they need you.
